Your Questions, Answered
How Does Crypto Innoculation Work?
Unlike traditional anti-virus programs, Crypto Innoculation works by being installed once and then running passively under Windows. The program makes changes to Windows itself to lock out harmful programs that try and run on your machine. When all goes well, you should never know it is there.
How Do I know it is Working?
When a technician from the Computer Doctor installs the program on your machine, they run a built in self-test of the program to verify that it is working properly.
I have Anti-Virus Software. Do I Need This?
Do you have lots of music, images, documents, and other important items on your machine? Do you back them up? Do you store those backups offline? If you aren’t being proactive with your data, then you’re at risk for something like this. The ONLY way to recover from this infection, if you do not pay the “ransom” is to restore your files from an uninfected backup. From our experience, the vast majority of people do not have backup plans.
Crypto Innoculation is a good first step to prevent this sort of thing from happening. We encourage all our clients to have a plan to backup their data in case of catastrophic hardware failure or something like this.
What Are the Benefits of Buying Crypto Innoculation?
Piece of mind jumps right out. No solution is foolproof, however. Viruses, trojans, and malware mutate and change all the time. However, Crypto Innoculation has the ability to run self-updates. When we improve the program, you get those improvements at no additional cost to you.
Crypto Innoculation doesn’t just stop this one infection. Because of how it works, it can prevent a lot of infections from even beginning.
Okay, I’m Sold. What Happens When I Purchase It?
When you purchase Crypto Innoculation, you are buying the software package and the time required for a technician to install it on your machine. After purchase, you will be contacted by a technician to set up a time to install the program. There is minimal work on the client end. You never actually download the program.
The technician, while on the phone with you, will direct you to download a small file that will then enable him to securely connect to your machine. Once that is done, there’s nothing else you need to do. The technician will run the quick virus scan, install Crypto Innoculation, set up any whitelist for programs that might need it and configure all the settings. You are able to see all this from your end of the remote session.
Crypto Innoculation Found Something! Now What?
You are not alone if you get a notification that Crypto Innoculation stopped an infection from beginning. When the program is set up, the Computer Doctor technician configures it to notify him as well.
